Going Green???????

Okay everyone, I was reading the forums and I came across some questions on is interior design going to be focusing on going "green" for 2011. Many designers are starting to recycle items they already have and be creative with them, adding to their space. In addition, natural and organic materials are becoming a bit hit. Although they are more expensive to use, they are environmental friendly. Even the color schemes that are becoming more and more popular are natural, fresh, and organic.

Here are a couple of ideas to help you go green for the new year:

(1) Reupholster your furniture- There is no need to go out and spend hundred of dollars for new couches and chairs. In fact the sofa and/or chair you own is probably better quality than anything you can buy now a days.

(2) A fresh new beginning- Its a new year, so that means you should start a fresh. Take all of those old bills or yours and shred them. Take the shredding and glue them down on a hard supportive surface and frame them. This a cool and creative idea to remind you to stay out of debt and not spend a lot of money. You will have a lot of fun shredding your old baggage!

I'd love to hear some of your ideas as well.
